Bible Studies
At this time, there are 7 different Bible studies that are being offered at Immanuel Lutheran Church as well as several that meet in members' homes. There are groups that meet on Sunday as well as groups that meet during the week.

Sunday Morning Bible Studies All studies on Sunday meet at 9:15 a.m.
  • The Lord's Supper Bring your questions to Bible Study as Pastor Mau reviews this great gift Christ has given us. You are invited to find out: "Who? What? When? Where?" and the answers to that Lutheran questions, "What does this mean?" Join Pastor Mau in Faith Hall
  • Old Testament Bible Study A continuing study of the Old Testament - currently studying the Psalms. ALL ARE WELCOME! Join Lois Warnke in the meeting room across from the church office.
  • The Gospel of Luke A well researched account fo the life, teaching and ministry of Jesus as the author states in chapter 1:3-4 "Having carefully investigated all these accounts from the beginning, I have decided to write a careful summary for you, to reassure you of the truth of all you were taught". The format of the study consists of reading sections of the text and then making use of a commentary and the notes from the self-study bible to better understand the context and meaning of the text. This leads to discussion about how the text applies to our daily walk in faith. All are welcome. This study is lead byTom Sande in Faith Hall.
  • God For Us This discussion oriented study is an introductory overview of the Christian faith. It is ideal for those considering church membership or those seeking a "refresher course" in Lutheran teaching. This 10 lesson course meets in the basement kitchen during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9:15 a.m. It is continually repeated so that people may enter the study at any time and continue until they have completed the 10 lessons. David Einoris facilitates this study.
  • Heaven and Heall are Really Real!!! Today's world tires to convince itself there is no Hell and that Heaven is merely a "better place". It certainly puts our Faith on Edge. doesn't it? As we join Together in the Word we strengthen our understanding of both from Scripture. This prepares us as Christians to stand firm in our beliefs and to explain them when put to the test out there. Heaven and Hell: The Edge of Eternity begins on Sunday, April 13 in Faith Hall between the services. Join the Crowd!
  • Midweek Bible Studies
  • Peter and His Letters Join Pastor Mau in a study of Peter and his letters at 10:00 on Tuesday mornings. During the next six weeks, the Sunday Epistle readings are from Peter's letters combined with selections of the early church from Acts. Find a bit of yourself in the person of Peter. Find the foundations of our faith as the apostle Peter brings teachings of the risen Christ throughout the early Christian communities.
  • Bible Fellowship This weekly study lookds at a common theme found in the assigned readings for the coming Sunday's worship. Typically, this includes readigns from the Old Testament, one of the epistles and a Gospel reading. It meets in Faith Hall on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30. Dave Einoris leads the study.
