The Ablaze

The Ablaze! movement was inspired by the words of the disciples who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus:

“Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us? [Luke 24:32]

Centered on the Great Commission, Ablaze! is intended to increase the sense of urgency within the LCMS and our partners around the world to share the good news of Jesus with unreached and uncommitted people.

Simply stated, Ablaze! is about:

Inviting everyone to know Christ…

Inviting believers to share Christ

Immanuel Lutheran Church of Des Plaines is whole-heartedly seeking to Ignite the Fire! of Ablaze! in the Des Plaines area. This will happen through an anticipated 20 home Bible studies meeting in the Des Plaines area intended to help believers prepare to invite unbelievers to know Christ. This will be launched at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Ignite the Fire! Ablaze! Rally that will take place on September 24^th, 3:00-5:00 PM at the Convocation Center of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.
